In early 2002, Faarooq and Bradshaw split due to the WWE Draft. Now on RAW, Layfield's character had an increased emphasis on his Texas roots, which included him carrying a cowbell to the ring. He also became a multiple-time WWE Hardcore Champion, even renaming the belt as the Texas Hardcore Championship. It was also during this time that his finishing move was briefly renamed from the Clothesline From Hell to the Clothesline from Texas or the Clothesline from Deep in the Heart of Texas. Jim Ross often called the move as such during his commentary, although the name eventually reverted back to the original "Clothesline From Hell".In September 2002, Layfield suffered a torn left biceps at a house show event. He was out of action for six months until returning to Ohio Valley Wrestling and then a few weeks later to the active WWE roster.Lockwood (now using the ring name Crash Holly) entered the WWF as the cousin of Bob 'Hardcore' Holly, whom he slightly resembled. He made his TV debut on the August 16, 1999 episode of RAW is War. The relationship between the cousins was strained, with the grizzled Hardcore Holly frequently threatening Crash. He was often seen bringing a weighing scale when he took on the gimmick of claiming himself to be well over 400 lbs along with Hardcore so that he would be considered a heavyweight. He was fairly successful, with his most notable achievement being his victory over Test for the WWF Hardcore Championship on the February 22, 2000 episode of SmackDown! Crash decreed that he must defend the championship twenty four hours a day, seven days a week ("24/7"). This meant that the title was permanently contested, not just in the course of sanctioned matches, and could thus change hands anywhere as long as a referee was present to administer the three count. Crash Holly was frequently attacked by other wrestlers while in unlikely locations, including an airport, a funhouse, a circus, and even in his hotel room. While Holly was often pinned, he normally immediately regained the title from his opponent. In total, he would win the title 22 times.[3] His most common tactic was to steal a win in one of his or someone's else's Hardcore Title match and quickly running away to the back and from other contenders. This earned him the title the "Houdini of Hardcore". Crash also held the WWF European Championship,[4] WWF Light Heavyweight Championship,[5] and the WWF Tag Team Championship (with Hardcore Holly).[6]In late 2000, Holly's onscreen "cousin" Molly Holly was introduced. In 2001, the Holly Cousins began a feud with The Dudley Boyz. In the course of this feud, Molly began a relationship with Spike Dudley, leading to internal disputes within each family, as well as a Romeo and Juliet-style feud between the six of them. The Dudley Boys infamously powerbombed Molly through a table with Spike on it.
