Tulare County Sheriff's investigators are piecing together five shootings in Orosi, which killed two people. The first shooting happened Sunday afternoon on route 413 and road 128 around 6:20 p.m.. Deputies say two teenagers were walking in the area when a suspect approached them and opened fire, shooting both the juveniles. One teen died on the scene, his identity has not been released. The other teenager was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The second shooting happened on the 13,700 block of Avenue 408, just a few minutes later at 6:40 in the evening. Officials say three people were shot, two women and a man. Sgt. Chris Douglass from Tulare County Sheriff's Department says the two women were taken away in a car and found on Second and Orosi on Sunday evening. One was seriously injured, but the other was pronounced dead. When officials arrived on scene of the second shooting, they pieced together witness reports, which lead them to the location on Avenue 408 for the second shooting. "Information was obtained that these two females were victims of a drive by shooting that occurred at another location and transported to this location by private vehicle," said Douglass. Sgt. Douglass also says they are investigating whether or not the homicide on Saturday at Ella and Road 128 is connected to the shootings. "We are investigating to see if these shootings are related to the homicide that happened Saturday night. We're are not sure if today's shootings are connected but we are looking into it to see if it's gang related," said Sgt. Douglass. In all, there were 5 shootings and two fatalities; one teenager and one woman. No arrests have been made and officials are asking any witnesses to come forward.
